As our country continues to feel the impacts of the current global COVID-19 health crisis. We’re sure many of you are searching for alternative plans for your family’s upcoming Spring Break vacation.

With most of us opting out of any international or out-of-state travels, finding safe and local Spring Break destinations for families in Texas has become more crucial than years past!

Keep reading to learn why so many have chosen our Texas Hill Country lake resort as one of their favorite Spring Break destinations for families in Texas these past two decades.

One of the unique features of our property is its location. Our historic lake cabins sit near the iconic shores of Lake Buchanan, the anchor and largest body of water in the Highland lakes family of lakes.

Lake Buchanan has become a popular choice for many Texas boaters, campers, fishers, and swimmers over the years. Being the second largest of the Highland Lakes, you’ll never feel crowded out on the water.

Another unique feature not found at the other Highland Lakes is the granite gravel shores along portions of the lake (like ours). This type of sand creates an ideal beach for swimming, wading, and sunbathing.

Plus, the warmer Spring temperatures and typically mild weather create the perfect conditions for guests to enjoy our lake beach comfortably!

Our lake resort offers more than just a place to crash during your Spring Break vacation; we create guest experiences that the entire family is sure to cherish for years to come!

In addition to swimming and sunbathing on our private, sandy lake beach. Cedar Lodge families have access to daily on-site boat rentals of paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, jet skis, and pontoon boats. (Feel free to bring your own boats and water toys as well.)

We recently added a floating lily pad rental that’s quickly become a crowd-pleaser for our smaller family members.

When you don’t feel like getting sandy. We offer an abundance of outdoor games guaranteed to keep the active ones in your family busy. Choose from basketball, volleyball, ladder golf, horseshoes, washers, soccer, and more!

Cedar Lodge’s grounds provide a safe and comfortable space for little explorers to soak in the Texas Hill Country’s natural beauty. It’s the perfect environment for your kiddos to unplug and reconnect with the outdoors!

Our resort’s location makes us a short distance to many of Texas’ best sights and Spring Break destinations for families in the Hill Country.

Cedar Lodge guests can enjoy fantastic nearby hiking trails, like Inks Lake State Park. Be sure to stop for a swim at Devil’s Waterhole while you’re there. There’s also nearby Longhorn Caverns State Park that offers daily underground cave tours.

Besides the many scenic Hill Country hiking and swimming spots. This area offers lots of small-town local shops and family-friendly restaurants.

No matter how your family decides to spend their time here at Cedar Lodge. Whether it’s an afternoon of father and son fishing from the pier, a family boat trip out on the lake, messy s’more making at the campfire under the starry skies, an impromptu game of foosball in the game room, or a shared picnic on the beach.

We’re sure your family will leave with a deepened appreciation for one other. Plus, lots of shared moments you’ll all cherish for years to come.

With so many ways for guests to unplug and enjoy quality time together as a family. It’s easy to understand why Cedar Lodge has become one of the top Spring Break destinations for families in Texas.

However, with only 13 lakeside cabins, it’s best not to wait until the last minute to book your Spring Break getaway.

We offer online reservations 24/7 or you can call us at 512-793-2820 between 8-6 CST to reserve your family’s spot.

We look forward to hosting you and your family soon!
