If you didn’t know already, the Texas Hill Country and Burnet area, specifically (where you’ll find our resort), is known as the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas. Warmer spring temperatures comingle with the bounty of newly sprouted Texas flora.

Fishing
Spring (Feb-May) is a prime time to fish for largemouth bass on Lake Buchanan (AKA Fisherman’s Lake).
With more than 22,000 acres of bass fishing grounds and an excellent underwater structure of cliffs, rocky banks, mounds, brush, and trees, this area has become a fishing destination for anglers across the state.
Our resort sits near the shores of Lake Buchanan. Guests are welcome to fish right from our private sandy beachfront, 300-foot fishing pier, or bring their own watercraft and head out on the water.
Daily boat rentals are offered exclusively for Cedar Lodge guests. We’ve also made relationships with several local guides who will pick you up from our resort and take you out to the best nearby spots.
